Central Scotland Islamic Centre is situated in the heart of Central Scotland in the city of Stirling. It is the Central Islamic centre for the Muslim community. The Central Scotland Islamic centre was established by the local Muslim community 30 years ago and was the only centre for many years. As the community grew,the Centre moved to the present location which was much bigger and more central for the community. The centre provides an array of services to the Muslim community and caters for all its spiritual needs. We have a large community hall which is used by many groups.

Stirling Open day was a major success with the Lord Provost attending. Over the years we have found them to be very well attended by the locals.

Mosque Visits

Ever since its inception in 1992, the Central Scotland Islamic Centre (Stirling) has understood the importance of inter-faith relations and the positive promotion of Islam to children and adults alike. Each year the Stirling Islamic Centre welcomes countless schools, colleges, universities, organisations, professional bodies and individuals to the mosque where they learn about the work we do in the community and about the religion of Islam.

Standard visitor sessions including evenings and weekends are available upon request. Please book well in advance (minimum of 3 weeks)  of your preferred dates as this very popular service attracts many bookings.

For primary school chidren, we also have special worksheets prepared about the mosque which they may take back with them. There is also free literature on Islam for all visitors.If you would like to arrange a visit then please contact the Central Scotland Islamic Centre details are below.

Prayer Times For muslims the day is broken into five parts

  • Fajr (or Subh) which is at dawn before the sunrise
  • Zuhr which is just after the noon of day.
  • Asr which comes in the middle of the day between noon and sunset.
  • Maghrib which comes immediately after sunset.
  • Isha which is in the evening or early part of the night.
